HOTTEOK

I loved the presentation. They arrived without incident. Ive only tried one out of the three but smelled delicious. Looking forward to the rest.

Even though I’ve never had hotteok before the smell feels like a memory. Maybe the spices of brewed cider, or spice cookies? It’s an airy arrangment of spices that I associate with baking sweets. It also reminds me of instant chai mix. It isn’t as sweet as I expected, but it doesn’t smell herbal, or savory at all. There’s just enough sweetness mixed in that it leans into that baked goods scent I associate with it.
