Initial analysis of this tool is that it is very well made and thought out but I am slightly leary of the coated steel in long term storage or for users near coastal areas having a salt air atmospheric conditions, Stainless Steel would offer better protection but more expensive so a quick solution is to coat it in wax paste or WD40 after use and wipe it off before use to avoid contamination of your wood projects.
I just received the tool today August 20,2026 as a preorder and have not used it yet but over the next couple of weeks I will get to use it, like any tool made by Woodpeckers one cannot go wrong purchasing it.
