Unexpected Results

I purchased some of this in late May, and really wanted to give it a proper chance after initially having a poor experience with it. After two months of testing, however, I cannot stand this stuff. First of all, it dries way too quickly, becoming nearly unusable after simply spreading it across my fingers. I used it with damp and dry hair across two months, and due to how exceptionally fast it dries out, it's seriously hard to work into hair no matter what. Apex seems almost moisture-resistant, in terms of damp hair not affecting its ease of use, and it's impressively difficult to wash off of hands. I also purchased the Tsunami styling cream with this, and somehow the Apex provides a much more firm hold, every time, in spite of Tsunami being branded as having the most firm hold among Lodestar's product line. Credit where it's due, Apex does provide a matte shine, a seriously firm hold, and the Astra version smells quite nice. Having said that though, I'll be steering clear of this product.

I was hoping to have better luck with the unscented but it still irritated my scalp. And had a noticeable scent.

I really hated the smell of this and it irritated my scalp.
