If you are considering using these on (what I consider) a standard ribbed metal roof - apparently some call this "agricultural roof" - that is used on a lot of buildings, beware that it does NOT fit properly. The brackets are too large and have the wrong angle to fit this sort of roof profile. I was able to make it work by bending the legs slightly and putting spacers between the roof ribs and bracket, but if I had it to do over (and had the timetable to be able to return these), I would use something else. Too bad the brochures that say something to the effect that "fits virtually any metal roof profile" are incorrect. This in no way implicates Schafer, rather it is a failing of the original manufacturer in not making it clear what it fits. Partly also my fault for not looking at the technical drawings more closely.

Did not fit my (North American) roof profile

The RibBracket III did not fit my 5-rib exposed fastener roof. The rib top width and angle matched perfectly, but my ribs were not tall enough, so the bracket could not conform. The brochures don't emphasize rib height, and that could be made more clear. I wound up exchanging these for Protea brackets (thanks to customer service for accepting my return). Protea costs more but fits anything.
