Red Wigglers Composting Worms

My students really enjoyed seeing the worms come tumbling out of the bag! Some were eager to pick them up, and some were content to stand back and watch! Our worms came on time and I received an email notification, which is great because when I went up front, they had received several packages and they were just left in the hall because the front desk was busy. Luckily, I knew to look for them and found them in a smaller pile.

I will send photo this week, the worms made is safely. I did pick them up from UPS package holding station about 9 hours after they were delivered. They are all pretty happy and staying buried. When I mix the dirt everyone is thriving and pretty alert. We have only had one banana this week. We will keep in touch and the students love them!

We purchased red wigglers from Hungry Worms through a grant our school received, and they have been a huge hit with students in every grade, K–8! One of the first things they ask when they enter my classroom is, “Can we check on the worms?!” The worms arrived on time and in excellent condition. Hungry Worms has also been incredibly responsive and quick to answer my questions, which I especially appreciate as someone new to keeping a worm bin. We’ve had a wonderful experience and highly recommend them!
