Here’s a rarity in the 2020s: an entire album of songs from the 1890s-1920s recorded for the first time ever! (And they’re good!) Vocalist Miss Maybell and pianist Charlie Judkins have sifted through thousands of pieces of sheet music, scouring flea markets, antique malls, private collections, and the Library of Congress to assemble this

Nice discovery
A surprising collection of New Old Stock of unrecorded songs from the early 20th century. Most songs are interesting, ranging from ragtime to blues. Miss Maybell incorporates the style that the songs require, and the instrumentation also transports us to the era of the music hall.

Five Stars ain't good enough for this...
Wonderful obscure old-timey songs that shouldn't be obscure at all!
Especially when sung by the AMAZING Miss Maybell!
"New York, I'm All For You" should be the official state song, and sung before the Belmont Stakes by Miss Maybell. Every year. Without exception.
Every other song on this disc is a delight, also.
Charlie's piano playing is excellent, and they assembled a fine band to accompany things.
