Initial impression is not great.

My initial impression of this shirt relates to comparing it to the previous Viyella shirt I purchased from PJ. This one feels "harder", meaning it doesn't have the soft hand of the last one. Both are made in Canada from imported material, but the last one just feels softer to the touch and more comfortable. I also have a Viyella shirt from Land's End, purchase over ten years ago, that was made in Hong Kong and is still going strong despite some wear and tear. In light of these notes I feel a bit disappointed with this newest shirt but am willing to see how it works out in the coming months of use.
