Kit is very useful. Be generous with the spray. I supplied my own larger squeegee. Razor knife works fantastic. Lastly I used the small squeegee to finish.

About what you'd expect for the price

You could put together a kit for $20 at your local home improvement store that's significantly better and will help you out in future projects, but this is cheap and convenient, and maybe you don't have any future projects.
