Minimal retention
This grinder has one of the characteristics that I was looking for in other grinders, the retention is minimal. I can enjoy more of my coffee because it doesn't stay trapped inside. The grinder process is fast and it can be adjusted easily.

Exceptional Grinder Choice
There are a lot of options for quality grinders in this price range, and I haven't tried them all. I agonized a bit over which one to purchase, researched everything I could find. . . . on all of the grinders in this price range, and chose the VS4. I couldn't be more pleased. Absolutely love the variable RPM dial, the smooth dial mechanism, and the solid build. Virtually no retention is welcome, and the fluffy grind output is like it has already been through the WDT process. I still can't say which grinder is the "best," but I can say that I made a superior choice. Now, to bring on the interchangeable burrs!

VS4 Initial thoughts
For me, a perfect grinder. Easy to use and easy to set and reset the grind level. Low noise and easy to clean. So far very happy with the VS4. One area to address would be the bellows. Keeps falling off. The bellows needs to be longer where it sits in the grinder? Other than that, well worth the purchase.
