Big Agnes | Divide Insulated

I used the Wide Regular 25” x 72” version on the Utah BDR, paired with the Big Agnes Echo Park 20°F sleeping bag, and overall it made for a really good motorcycle-camping sleep system. I’m about 6 feet tall, so my feet would occasionally hang slightly off the end of the 72-inch pad depending on how I was positioned. It wasn’t a major issue, but if you’re around my height or taller, I would consider one of the longer sizes. The first night I also made the mistake of inflating the pad too firmly. Once I figured out the right pressure and let a little air out, it became substantially more comfortable. It isn’t quite as comfortable as the full-size foam mattress I use in my rooftop tent, but that’s obviously a very different setup. For something that packs onto a motorcycle, this was more than adequate and gave me the rest I needed to get back on the bike and continue riding the BDR day after day. It also worked really well with the Echo Park 20°F bag and kept me plenty warm. In fact, riding the Utah BDR through the mountains in late August, that combination was warmer than I really needed. I’ve since picked up the 35°F version of the Echo Park for warmer summer trips. The included inflation pump sack worked surprisingly well. I was impressed with how easily I could inflate the pad without having to blow it up manually. That said, after a long day of riding, I really would have appreciated having an electric pump. I wish one had either been included or more prominently suggested as part of the sleep system (best value Kit) when I originally bought everything. I’ve since picked up a pump and am looking forward to trying it on my next camping trip. One thing I particularly appreciated was how quickly the pad packed back up in the morning. Deflation and cleanup were easy, which matters when you’re breaking camp every morning on a BDR. Overall, it’s a good balance between comfort, insulation, packed size, and practicality for motorcycle camping. Most importantly for me, I can be prone to waking up with a stiff back after sleeping poorly. Once I had the firmness dialed in, this pad gave me enough support and rest that I was able to get up each morning, get moving, and continue riding day after day.

Used the pad on a 4 night bdrx ride. Super comfortable and kept me warm when the temp dropped more than expected overnight. Blows the cheaper one I got off Amazon out of the water that only last 2 nights before getting a hole in it.

Excellent pad! I’m a side sleeper and I was very comfortable.
