The garage can have a lot of valuable items such as a Bloke's tools. It was going to be very difficult to run wiring to connect a PIR sensor in the detached garage to house alarm. This Wireless Sensor Adapter Kit saved a lot of hassle. I tested it over twice the distance that I needed it to work and it worked just fine. The only problem I had was with the PIR. The cheaper Orbit sensor has a phantom voltage of 60-70v on its output in the off state. No problem if you have lights connected as that load will just flatten that 'voltage' but the high input impedance of the transmitter held the voltage creating a 'chattering' state. Slightly dearer PIR and problem solved.

Good product, however would be even better if it was able to pair left over transmitters or receivers together rather than wasting them when a job may change and not require exactly what I've ordered
