Made my first pair of baby slippers 0-3 months today. I’m a beginner machinist. I watched the tutorial and read everything carefully before I began stitching. I then kept the tutorial close by and kept pausing it as required!
Clear instructions and very pleased with result which I have made as a gift for my neighbours newly arrived baby girl.

This was my first sewing project! I referenced her YouTube video 90% of the time to complete this project and going forward I will be purchasing other patters ONLY if there is a corresponding step-by-step YouTube video available, otherwise it is very difficult to not make mistakes or get lost/confused based on the images alone in the file.
Now I need a reversible mitt pattern!
(Separately for Vasenia: my two recommendations would be to 1) indicate to add 1” to the elastic band measurement directly in its reference table. Currently the step listing to add 1” is on one page and the reference table is on a completely separate page so it is easily missed (I had to recut twice)
Lastly, 2) adding some helpful generic sewing machine tips and recommendations for starting/finishing certain steps would be tremendously helpful in following along with both the video and the e-guide. For example, noting tension settings and when to increase/decrease it, which string(s) to pull to easily remove the basting stitch and trouble shooting (I could not for the life of me pull mine out), stating in videos where you will be beginning your stitch and if starting on one side versus the other is easier (left, right, front, back), etc.

I make baby quilts for friends and family when they have a baby, and I usually try to make the quilts match their nursery themes. this pattern is awesome because I can use their quilt scraps to make some baby slippers in addition to their quilt and it matches perfectly and uses up my scraps from that project!
