One of our favourite fish to cook whole - baked or grilled. Gorgeous meaty flavour with a firmer texture than pollack and cod. One of the most outstanding dishes ever cooked at Ikoyi in London. We would highly suggest getting these fish whole so you can grill in the oven or BBQ. Very seasonal and beautiful texture.

I love John Dory and usually buy some but this time they were very small (undersized?) and lacked that wonderful meaty flavour that normally makes it such an exceptional fish.

Such a delicious fish 🐟 I don’t often see these available and it is such a shame. They are delicious 😋 I salt baked it on the bbq and it was amazing 🤩
