Not a great fit for straight shaft Stihl weedeater

Not a great fit for straight shaft Stihl commercial weedeater that I bought for home use. I will be adding lock washers to hold shield adjustment in place. It did block some debris but not enough to be able to take off safety glasses or wear shorts.

Review of Tie Boss Debris Shield

The following is my assessment of the product and may not be indicative of anyone else's perception. The plastic arms are very flimsy and are not strong enough to support the weight of the shield during use. The wing nuts cannot be tightened enough (without stripping or breaking something) to prevent the position of the shield from moving while trimming. Also, the shield is not transparent as I expected. I called a rep at Tie Boss, prior to ordering, and he told me that the shield was transparent. The shield I received is definitely not transparent.
