I have yet to use my Mudpuppy anchor on moving water like a creek or river, but it has worked great while lake fishing on windy days. The only issue was using in very weedy conditions, as it dragged up a lot of weeds when it was time to move. I expect it to work incredibly well next time I head out to my favorite river spot as that is very rocky..

5 stars, I was skeptical because I have always used an 8lb mushroom anchor on my kayak. The 6 lb mudpuppy anchor did a great job when fishing the Shenandoah river for Smallmouth out of my Yak.

This works better than drag chains IMO. It stops my kayak and doesn't get hung up.
