Beautiful and durable. They will last the rest of my life, no doubt. The reason I can only give four stars is because I received my boots with one of the heel tack nails was sitting nearly flush with the heel of the boot. A punch clearly glanced off the nail bending it over. Mistakes happen but this also made it past QA. There were wildfires in Spokane at the time so I understand there nay have been rushed operations. When I contacted Nick’s they were very helpful, offering to take my boots back and fix the issue free of charge. However, I was going to need to mail them back, and wait an additional 1-2 weeks for the fix, before being sent back. It wasn’t a huge issue, so I opted to keep the boots and fix the issue myself. Overall, great boots and great customer service just an unfortunate blemish that made it past QA.

Made the jump from Red Wing and I am very very impressed with the level of quality workmanship. These boots are simply outstanding! The quality of leather / materials, craftsmanship and stitching are the best I've seen. Highly recommend the Americana, these are very much worth the wait!

my favorite boots!

I love the shrunken bison from Law Tanning—exquisite! Boots fit awesome—8D in HNW last is perfect for my 8.5D Brannock feet with midweight socks. Good toe room and love the slightly more narrow heel. These will likely be my most worn boots out of more than a dozen pairs (Whites, Alden, Viberg, Trickers, John Lofgren). The bison leather combined with the last fits my feet sets them apart.
