Jardín Azteca Candle

I'm pretty disappointed. I bought this based off of the good reviews but I'm underwhelmed with this candle. Out of the box the fragrance was strong and unique so I was excited to see how it burned. Prior to lighting it for the first time I trimmed the wick to ¼" per the instructions -- it burned very dirty. The first time (and honestly every time I've tried to burn it since) it produced a stream of black smoke from the flame, something I don't often see with other candles unless the wick is egregiously too long. That aside, I was disappointed by the scent throw (or lack thereof), I have to be right next to it to smell anything -- even standing a few steps away from it I can't smell it at all. Which is a shame, because it does have a nice, albeit unconventional, scent. Wish I could have rated this higher, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations.
