Tought to get enough pressure with it

I really wanted to like this Tamper. It was the reason why I upgraded to the bundle however I found the supplied spring to be too light. My coffee was constantly chenneling and when using 18g of coffee it would never push down to range. Once I started using the manual tamper and pushing the grinds down more then switching back it would show in range and no longer channel and the shots came out much better. I suspect they didn’t do enough pressure testing on this and should also provide additional springs for higher lb pressure.
I’m leaving this review after going on Amazon and buying the Normcore guided tamper. With the 25lb spring they provide I am able to immediately get it tamped better and when trying the fellow range it was in range in the first try… I really hope Fellow attempts to fix this tamper vs telling its users to use less coffee (the less coffee still channeled since it wasn’t compacting the grounds enough) …
