Beginners Modern Calligraphy Kit

Materials are great (but setup is confusingly simple)

Everything in the set was perfect, from the extremely simple practice pages to the quality of the pen. It was just hard for me to figure out where to start. I also got the straight pen, and the directions for how to set that up (which was WAY simpler than I thought) was just one tiny paragraph in the directions for the oblique pen. Because I am an actual beginner, I literally didn't understand anything and ended up emailing customer service multiple times for help. They were great, but it was still kind of irritating -- it would be nice if the QR code they give you in the kit showed set up for both pens and had a where-to-start suggestion guide with the materials. And then because I'm curious, I ended searching for the answers (after I had gotten them form customer service) in the materials on the QR code. All the information IS there, it's just a little overwhelming if you're like me and you've never heard the word ferrule before. So I would recommend this... but to someone who either has an idea of what they're getting into or has the patience to read things carefully.

No Instructions

Looks good but no instructions and ink bottle neck too narrow to get nib in so unable to use. Very frustrating, afraid it’s a waste of money.

Calligraphy pen

To be fair I haven’t used it much yet, I tried with the materials sent with the pen but I learn much better in a class. I’ve booked on a Hobbycraft one in a few weeks. I haven’t used a pen like it before and I’m not doing very well.
