Brilliant
The book is great.
I would say it more designed for people who have DM'd before, even a little, as it gives lots a lots of inspiration for stories but, with the information that it provides per story, it still requires the DM to come up with specifics for their one shot - but that may depend on how much prep you do as a DM. In the book, each one shot is gives between one and two pages worth of content, with main NPCs and story beats. I used it recently to do a one shot, based on Foes in the Forest, and I had to write up an extra about twenty pages worth of content, because I like to have about 25 pages of content for each one shot I run. I found it really helpful for giving me the context/setting, NPCs, and general story. I then developed more backstory and added more trials and traps and things. I was really glad to have the book, it would have taken me longer to come up with something from scratch. I'll definitely run more one shots from it again.
Tl;DR - brilliant for inspiration for one shots but may require you to write more depending on how much prep you need as a DM.

A good resource
I'm a beginner and I was always very intimidated by having to come up with my own ideas. I flipped through this book, and I'm already planning a 1-player one shot :)
The book itself is also very pretty! Looks rly nice on my bookshelf
