SwitchBot Lock Pro

⁠Incomplete compatibility information & non-existent customer support⁠

I purchased a SwitchBot Lock Pro bundle from their official website, but it turned out to be physically incompatible with my standard lock setup. Unfortunately, their product page failed to clearly disclose these specific physical dimension restrictions prior to purchase. Even worse, their customer service is completely non-responsive: the automated phone system disconnects calls due to high volume without any option to leave a message or wait, and multiple return request emails sent over days have been ignored. Because the item remains unopened in its original package and the return window is open, the lack of support and missing compatibility details make for an extremely frustrating experience. Buyers should beware of product dimensions and the lack of post-purchase support.

Superior to the original in every way! Stronger motor, quieter. Premium feel.

We have original the SwitchBot Smart Lock which worked great with our Jimmy Proof Segal type Lock. (Switchbot is the only company offering a solution for Jimmy Proof Locks). The new improved Lock Pro is superior in almost every aspect compared to the original. Everything feels much more solid and premium. The motor is more powerful and quieter than the original. It also locks faster. Very nice. Installation is similar to the original. (Switchbot does *not* include the adjustment plate for use with Jimmy Proof locks with the Lock Pro. They will send it to you for free but you have to pay shipping. This involves contacting customer service via chat). I didn’t use the adhesive mount. The new adjustment plate’s two screw holes are in a different location than the original plate. You can either drill new holes in your door or drill two holes on the adjustment plate to match. The accessory kit includes a 3D printed adaptor that fits over the turn knob on our lock. In our use case, the adjustment plate was still a bit too short so one needs to use the spacer. Besides the slightly more involved installation.. I love the new Lock Pro.
