My innova hates this thread

My Innova loves Glide thread, so I thought it would probably work well with Affinity. Wrong! I did all the things: net, larger needle, adjusted top tension, adjusted bottom tension but no matter what I did this thread either broke or skipped a stitch every minute to two minutes of sewing - and I was not sewing fast. I have yet to try it on my domestic machine, so it may do better there. I would love to get some feedback from your quilt fairies that would allow me to use this beautiful thread without constant frustration.
