The Utingarr (Emu) was very important to the Kalkadoon people. The native animal was hunted as a major food source. Kalkadoon people would also mark their territory with an image of the large bird or claw print. For this reason, Kalkadoon Country is often referred to as the Emu Province. SKILL LEVEL: Medium
