Ranger+ - 1000 Yard

Great buy

I've been considering upgrading to a new spotting scope. Instead, I decided to go with the LS Ranger+ at a much lower price. I don't need a spotting scope now. The Ranger+ has been excellent. It's easy to set up and aim using my iPhone. The camera and receiver are really easy to get working together, and I connect to the receiver with an iPad I wasn't using. I haven't used it beyond 600 yards yet but the picture is clear and the pan/zoom functions works well even when I squeeze two targets into the picture. The battery lasts longer than my shooting sessions although they don't recharge quickly. You'll need a sturdy tripod if you mount the camera off the ground or you'll get a lot of wind movement. I haven't used the analytic tool yet - only the blink feature which was helpful finding my shot.

I us3 this and my top of the line Vortex optics to see my ELR shots. The camera is awesome! Can't wait for the tablet to get back in stock. And the way this shooting is going...ill have to upgrade

I am admittedly not a tech person. I am barely capable of checking my email. But this system is so incredibly easy to use, I had it set up and running in about 10 minutes. I set it up inside the house first, just to get a feel for it. Then off to the range. Setup is fast and easy. There were multiple other people using their Longshot camera systems, and the people I talked to had nothing but great things to say. ALWAYS TAKE YOUR PHONE DOWN RANGE!! I managed to forget my phone back at my shooting position, and noticed once I had hiked down to post my target at the 400 yard line. I guesstimated the position for the camera, and headed back to the bench. Perfect! Both of my targets appeared on the iPad screen. This system is so easy to use! I picked mine up in person, and I may have to go back for the bourbon tasting party….
