Ordered €112.90 worth of jewelry. The checkout showed €0 taxes and €112.90 total. When the package arrived, I was required to pay another €54 in customs/import charges. I contacted support to ask for reimbursement. Their answer: they apparently mention potential import fees somewhere at the bottom of their website, in the FAQ and under “Shipping Information,” and therefore they take no responsibility for the additional €54. The issue isn’t that Gasper controls customs fees — they don’t. The issue is that a €54 additional cost (almost 48% of the order) was not apparent in my checkout total and only became a real cost when the package was delivered. Make sure you investigate the import fees yourself before ordering. Gasper’s position is clear: if customs charges you, you’re on your own.
