I recently received these, so I cannot speak to longevity/tarnishing. I originally bought these because my sensitive ears are VERY bad at healing piercings, and the idea of not having to shove a qtip between any sort of backing was very appealing. Admittedly, I do have small ears so the bottom doesn't "hug" the way it does on most others, but the payoff and accessibility is worth it. I purchased two pairs, and though the "earring" or "charm" is slightly smaller than expected, they're a great dainty alternative if you need to be able to clean new piercings. I've had no issues with any sensitivity. I'd probably opt for a smaller size hoop in the future, but regardless, very happy with this purchase!

They are very cute and comfy however, my hair is constantly getting stuck in them. And that is a big downfall, it’s very annoying. I was able to close the hoops a little bit as they were a little too big for me, which makes it easy to sleep in and wear all the time. Overall, very comfy to have in at all times, however downfall is the hair getting stuck all the time.
