The spring in the extended battery cap was not attached when it arrived. I contacted SMSLaser and they quickly responded and sent me out a replacement. I would recommend this company, and have!!

I purchased 2 HFXC 18650,also purchased the hfxc laser,the 18650 caps showed up with damaged threads which I did not know till after I tried to put the caps on the new hfxc laser,which damaged the threads in the sms hfxc laser,,,,I have asked customer service to replace the sms hfxc laser and the caps since this is a manufactured defect and they have given me a hard time about this every step of the way,even just offering to send new caps,which does not cover the damage the caps cause to the new sms HFXC LASER which can not be used now because of the bad 18650 caps,,,,now keep in mind this is the second time I have purchased this sms hfxc laser,the first one I purchased a couple years ago still works with no issues at all

Perfect addition. Yes guys it’s aluminum too if youre wondering! Also NiteCore has a 18650 battery thats 4000mah! Yes it fits and works w this battery cap! Get one! Runs flawlessly on the HFXC. This unit is well worth the money and then some!
