Horrible experience. I received a completely new product that was sealed in cellophane, but when I opened it, the nozzle/bottle was broken.
I immediately reported the issue honestly. I also explained that I regularly make unboxing and perfume videos for TikTok and that I would try to locate the video of me opening the package, I have absolutely nothing to gain by making a false claim, and I would never damage a product and then try to get money back.
What was especially upsetting was being told that pliers were used to damage the product. That is completely false. No pliers were used, and I did not damage the bottle in any way. I would never lie.
For me, the biggest issue is not even just the broken product—it is how the situation was handled afterward. When a customer receives a new, sealed product and reports a legitimate issue, I believe the company should make a reasonable effort to investigate and resolve it rather than accuse the customer of causing the damage.
