Have the older model. Love the new model. 1 button with auto rotating is awsome. I don't trust anything other than thermoworks items. If you want the best this is where you find it.

Simple to use

I really like the simplicity of this thermometer. A single molded button on the backside controls on/off/light functions. It’d be perfect if the button was located on the edge of the unit- this would be easier to thumb-press while watching the dial.

No more burnt hands

I have used the 4. 50" pop for a long time and have several located in different places. But when I grilled, the heat from the grill was always uncomfortable because my hand tended to be to close to the heat (BTW the great news it was always accurate). So I decided to purchase the 8" pop and it was a game changer. The accuracy is amazing and my hand is now high enough not to feel uncomfortable. If you grill and love the pop like I do, this is a must have.
