With multiple choices sizing and chamois, need better return policy
I have been trying to find the Goldilocks of cycling shorts. I was attracted to Terry's "Ride it. Wear it. Love it or Return it. " guarantee--one they have actually trademarked. I thought that meant I could try their shorts and if after a few rides they did not work out, I could return or exchange them. HOWEVER, I found out by reading the fine print that the returns have to be in "new or salable condition. " I assume that wearing as appropriate for a few rides--no underwear, most likely using chamois cream--would render the shorts not salable. So I tried them out on my triathlon bike outdoors with underwear underneath them and the tags on. I decided that the chafing I was getting was from the underwear, not the shorts, so cut the tags off, washed the shorts, and wore for my next outdoor ride. After washing, they were very difficult to get on--very tight. Once I got them on, they seemed comfortable enough during an hour bike ride. I did not have the issue with seams chafing me like some of my other shorts. The material feels kind of cheap, given the price, and caught on my seat as I moved from aero to more upright position. The chamois still feels too thick to me so I had planned on trying the minimalist chamois, but hesitate because I feel like the only way to properly test the shorts is to actually ride them and wear them a few times but I don't know if I want to risk not being able to return them if they don't fit. I don't know if I should get a larger size or try a looser fit. I also don't know how they will hold up on the longer rides I bought them for. Low score because I am not happy that I spent this much money for something I am not confident is the right fit for me and I feel like the return policy is misleading.

Great quality and fit. As an XS rider I struggle to find cycling shorts that fit. These ones were great. They seat higher over the hip bones. All around a good quality pair of shorts.

Great bike shorts
Love these bike shorts. The fit is great, they don’t ride up my legs, just the right compression, love the waist band too. Used for short and long distance rides.
