This was my first order from Canopy Plant Co, and I’m sad to say that it was a disappointment. Although my plant got here on time, my plant barely had roots to anchor itself into the soil. I decided to carefully inspect the root ball and found that they had barely just started to root, almost as if the growers had just stuck cuttings into the pot on the same day they packed my order—indeed, my one week water propagations have more roots than this linearis. I wanted to give Canopy the benefit of the doubt since the roots could’ve dry rotted off during shipping. On careful inspection of the potting media, however, there were no signs of dead roots. The only other explanations are that they accidentally sent a plant that wasn’t ready to leave the nursery, or (and I hope this isn’t the case) the company is more focused on profit than on quality. I hope it’s the former since I really love supporting the plant community rather than big box stores.
