Excellent Control and a Very Predictable Feel

I’ve been using the Owl CX 16mm and have really enjoyed the way this paddle plays. What stood out to me immediately is the quiet, muted feel. The paddle has a very controlled response without feeling overly lively or unpredictable. This gives me a lot of confidence when blocking hard shots and trying to take pace off the ball. I particularly like the CX for the mid-court game. When playing against aggressive players, it is easy to absorb their pace and redirect the ball with good control. It feels especially comfortable for blocks, resets, and softer shots where touch and consistency are more important than raw power. The paddle also has a very predictable response. I don’t feel like the ball is jumping unexpectedly off the face, which makes it easier for me to control the depth and trajectory of my shots. The main trade-off is that the CX is more control-oriented. Generating power on aggressive shots requires a little more effort, and players who prefer a very lively paddle may find it too muted. For my game, however, I really appreciate that controlled response.
