Over priced and not as warm as expected
I enjoy the idea of the Zenbivy bed but I feel that the Zenbivy products leave a lot to be desired. The clip-in system works well to allow movement and flexibility as far as which clips to use. However, I don’t feel the temperature ratings are accurate. I have the 25 degree light down quilt and I was recently camping in sub-freezing temperatures (about 28-35 at night). This quilt alone wasn’t even close to warm enough. I also feel the quality of the materials don’t warrant the high prices. Overall, I have been pleased with the Zenbivy bed concept but the quality and value of the products are not good.

Excellent sleep system for an Elk Hunt
I bought the Primaloft 20 synthetic XL with the 30” light sheet to replace the Nemo sleeping bag I used for a backcountry bow hunt for elk in Northern NM. From day one of my hunt it rained. It rained straight for 5 days. It was cold and wet, inside and outside the tent. The worst conditions you could have in early fall. Worst part was I couldn’t even light a fire to warm up or dry things out. However, the Zenbivy sleep system kept me warm and mostly dry. It was really comfortable once you got in to it. I had plenty of room and it really kept the cold out. I used a Klymit 30” sleeping pad with a 4.7R value, keeping me out of the little bit of water that leaked into my tent. And I slept really well, considering the conditions I was in. After the rain subsided I was able to dry everything out and use the sleep system in normal fall conditions, for the duration of the hunt. It was the best sleep I have had in the backcountry, ever. I was not to hot not to cold. Had plenty of room and could sleep in any position I wanted. I am a big and tall guy. 6’3” 245 lb. Most sleeping bags don’t fit, and the ones that do are too heavy for the backcountry. At around 4 lb for both the quilt and the sheet it worked great me. After long days of hiking for 5-10 miles through the mountains at 10,000 feet elevation, it’s nice to come back to camp and be able to sleep comfortably. It is definitely a 3 season sleep system that can withstand a wet environment. I would definitely recommend this sleep system to anyone who is looking for a better camping experience.
P.S. I did get an elk this year.

it was sooo warm that i actually had to have my legs/feet out throughout the night some times, which was honestly nice. it’s so soft and so LIGHT and compact. never going back to a sleeping bag.
