The Varia Aku Pro scale's auto-time mode is incredibly frustrating for pour-over coffee. The timer consistently stops whenever I pause my pour, which is a fundamental part of the pour-over process. This makes the auto-time feature useless, forcing me to manually time my brews and negating a key reason for purchasing this expensive scale. For pour-over users, this is a significant flaw and makes the scale a disappointing purchase.

Simply loved it. It has virtually everything a barista needs in one scale plus a nice colorful interface! Only con is battery: it could last as much as an Acaia. Still, I wouldn’t change for it. Highly recommended.
