I've had a handful of fishes and think this Steve LIs outline with Gerry's tweaks is a great combo. This is the smallest one I've had and at 33. 8L didn't think was going to float me well but the dimensions and shape did a lot to make up for it. I've had bigger fishes where they were too boaty and didn't surf very well. Only rode it once so far but looking forward to putting more sessions on it. recommend going smaller than you think.
