X-Dome 2

Really like it

We’ve now used our new x-dome 2 person 5 nights and are very pleased. Found that the carbon fiber poles are quite flexible in strong winds so needed to use the included cord to support them. Luckily there are lots of tie points to use. The weight savings from our previous tent is nice. Took a few times to get setup figured out which was mostly improved by how we put the tent away - folding in thirds, then rolling up worked much better than stuffing tent, fly and ground cover all connected at once. Untangling for the next setup took a while in this case. Overall very pleased and plenty of room for 2 people.

X- Dome 2 Initial Setup

Ordering and shipping were a breeze, arrived promptly. Setting up the frame, attaching the outer and inner walls was straight forward. I ordered the ground sheet but didn’t use that for this initial setup. Nicely made tent, no seam issues that I detected and zippers worked well. Lots of guyout points which should make it a quieter tent in the wind. Lots of interior room for my Nemo wide regular pad and gear. Good headroom. The vestibule is more than adequate for pack, shoes or cooking if conditions warrant. Really nice to be able to roll back and secure both flies which makes it feel really open and expansive. Entry and exit are easy.

Nice tent

nice and lightweight. Only used it once, and didn't look at instructions before, so the setup took a few tries (User error) but I imagine it will be quick. I have a x-mid pro 2 as well, I like them both a lot.
