Oh where to start with AURORA…
This is the one from the Nebular discovery set that completely took me by surprise. Anytime I hear “gourmand” in a fragrance description, I’m hesitant because I’ve never really considered myself much of a gourmand person… or so I thought. Turns out, I like elevated gourmands. Not sugary sweet, juvenile cupcake vibes, but sophisticated compositions that are delectable and addictive while still feeling refined. AURORA fits this bill completely.
When I purchased my discovery set, I knew SUPERNOVA would be my favorite. And she is. Like, signature scent worthy for me if I were a signature scent type of gal. 😂 But I wavered between SUPERNOVA and AURORA for days before ultimately choosing SUPERNOVA first, knowing I probably wouldn’t reach for AURORA much until fall.
AURORA opens with rum and sesame, such an unexpectedly cool combination, before settling into a warm blanket of honey, cinnamon, and tobacco. The honey and cinnamon are perfectly balanced here. Nothing is too sweet, too bold, or overtaking, and the tobacco adds just the right amount of depth.
As everything develops on skin and settles into caramel and tonka, this fragrance becomes alllll the more addictive. It just keeps pulling you in. Warm, smooth, delicious, and incredibly well done.
When I wear AURORA, I feel wrapped in something familiar. Warm, cozy, and completely content. There’s a sense of ease that settles over me, like I don’t need to be anywhere else or do anything more than simply exist in the moment. I love this type of cozy so very much.
AURORA is 1000/10 stars. And much like my other Nebular fragrances, I wish I had purchased the 100ml because look at this dent already! For someone who rarely dents her bottles, that definitely says something.
I’ve been so impressed by Nebular since discovering them a few months ago. Every time I wear one of their fragrances, I find myself getting excited because they are SO good. AURORA is no exception.
