Excellent, per usual

This is my second review, but my third bulk purchase, so I'm going to leave comments on both coffees & experience. And I have to say how incredibly happy I am to not only have the ability to purchase Yemeni coffee regularly, but to also have multiple varieties to choose from too! What a luxury. (And please keep in mind my bulk orders are roasted dark.) My second purchase (after the Sanani (*chef's kiss*)) was Pearls of Al Qafr. I found the PoAQ to be more intense than the S. It has a deeper, citrusy bite when it first hits the tongue, followed by a dark chocolate aftertaste. It's seriously full bodied, both rich and filling. Perfect after a meal, a powerhouse when it's the first sip of the day...though this could be because my husband likes his coffee strong and was on autopilot with the proportioning (ie not paying attention the beans were different)...and I don't mind (much) if it makes my eyebrows stick out straight. Wow. I am UP! And I'm ready for the day!! Let's run to get everywhere... With a lessening of beans ground for a pot PoAQ became mellower (eyebrows remaining flat), but still has a lovely punch and delicious dark chocolate aftertaste. I lucked out having put in my order just after Anda roasted, so the 5lbs was immediately shipped the same day, spoiling me. My third purchase is for the Haraaz Cooperative Blend. _Much_ softer than both the S & PoAQ. Very smooth with sweet tones of fruit and a milk chocolate aftertaste. With a bit more beans added to a pot the flavors intensified, becoming richer and fuller and seriously delicious, making me crave a second cup. This time my order took a week to fill, because Anda had not roasted the beans yet. Perfectly understandable, it was just a change from my other 5lb orders that I received within a few days of purchase, making me fret there was a problem. The coffee arrived freshly roasted in its excellent 5lb packaging (like my other orders) with a lovely note from Anda apologizing for it taking so long...which happened to be the exact amount of time specified on the bulk order page. Like I said, spoiled. So buy with confidence, because Yemeni coffee, imho, is worth every penny. Thank you, Anda!
