ROCKET FUEL - OLIO NOVELLO

Have loved before but not this time

I’m so sorry as I feel like a “Karen” writing this review. I have purchased from It’s Olio before but this time I was disappointed. I ordered the limited addition Olive Oil when it was re stocked. When it arrived, I could not open it any way, it did not open the typical way of a twist and pull lid so I spent 40 minutes pulling at it with tweezers and a skewer. After the pour spout finally gave way, it opened broken (but popped) I decided just to use it as a decor piece. However, this evening, it was slightly knocked over and three quarters of the tin/bottle have spilled over my kitchen due to the spout being so broken under the twist lid. I was really keen to use this oil on specialty salads, pizzas, dip boards etc but after trying to open it which was difficult and then it spilling the majority of the tin, I feel regretful buying this. Given the price, I was expecting much better quality.

Good quality Olive oil

The olive oil tastes absolutely delicious. However, I found an issue with the opening of the tin. Once the top is removed, the opening goes straight into the tin, so when I try to pour the oil, it tends to spill and run down the sides. If you could improve the pouring design of the tin, that would make the product even better. Other than that, I’m very happy with the olive oil!

Flavor focused oil

My thoughts on Its Olio first press Evoo, It has beautiful savory nose with notes on bitter greens, smooth, balanced, leaves a wonderful warmth in the throat thanks to its high antioxidant count, I love using it as a finishing oil over my meals. I also enjoyed the pizza chili oil, not too strong, perfect to my taste with the bonus of the squeezable bottle which gives you perfect control of how much you want. It’s just delicious and convenient! Highly recommended!👌
