APEX LEG TRAINER w/ Cable System

I love the leg extension (and curl) attachment. When used with a cable machine it is as good if not better than most machines at commercial gyms (caveat). My only critique is that when it is used with a cable machine, the tension from the cable causes it to sort of “pop a wheelie,” that is the front part of the leg lifts off the ground. This causes some lack stability, the attachment to sway from side to side while doing the exercise, and you consequently have to use less weight. I was able to mitigate this almost entirely by securing a lashing strap from the attachment to the back of the bench (see pictures). The “wheelie” issue only happens with the cable and is not an issue when it’s plate loaded. If not for that issue, it’d easily be five stars.

Apex bench + leg extension+ matrix machine + Stryker pad = incredible garages gym! I’ve been waiting for this kind of system for years and couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Just a really excellent machine—well constructed with great materials and easy to attach and unattach from the bench. Also, I greatly appreciated the care taken in spelling out the instructions for assembly and especially liked how the bolts, parts, etc. are specifically segregated into different bags to make the process much easier than it otherwise would have been!
