Great high and mid. Disappointing bass

First off. The detachable speaker wire is no good out of the box. The left side cuts in and out when you move the wire, likely a bad solder in the wire. The headset, itself, is fine. It has amazing clarity in the mid and high frequencies. I can hear toms played better than I expected as the drummer moves around the kit. But low end is flat and muted. I know audiophiles that would love this, but without low end, the headphones do not excite like my Koss. My wife does not like excessive bass and used them to enjoy some Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden. I tried the latest Megadeth album on them. Sadly, the bad wire was the biggest disappointment, since the left channel cuts out unless I hold my breath and stay still. Sigh.
