Ninth Grade Curriculum

We are enjoying the high school curriculum so far and have been pleased with the overall program. However, I would like to see more course options available for high school students, particularly when it comes to electives. Many of the current electives do not interest my student, which means we have to look for outside programs and pay additional costs to provide courses that better fit his interests. I would also like to see a computer science course that meets high school computer science credit requirements. Unfortunately, the computer science course currently offered did not meet the requirements we needed, so we had to purchase a separate program. More high school math options would also be very helpful, especially for students who are not necessarily following a college-preparatory path. Practical courses such as Consumer Math or other real-world math options would provide more flexibility while still allowing students to earn the math credits needed for graduation. Finally, I would really like to see Spanish offered as part of the regular Time4Learning high school curriculum rather than requiring families to purchase Rosetta Stone separately. Adding more electives, practical math courses, qualifying computer science options, and foreign language courses would make the high school program more complete and reduce the need for families to purchase additional curriculum from other providers.

We’ve really enjoyed T4L and the structure for high school. Engaging for teens and connecting on their level. The only thing I would request is an easier platform for report cards and GPA. My high schooler plans to attend college and we’d like to be sure he manages his GPA in a way that aligns with preparing for college.

The teachers that are teaching are only showing certain problems and then when you get to the assignment or the quiz, some of them aren’t being taught, so my granddaughter is very lost already. Everything on the quiz needs to be covered. I’ve been saying this all last year and they said they were gonna work on it. It looks like this will be our last year. I have people asking me what program we’re using and I tell them, but I told them I do not recommend it anymore. Two, three, and four years ago I did.
