WIIM Ultra preamp/streamer

This is my third WIIM device, after a Mini and an Amp Pro. Those two are working well in my garage and bedroom respectively. The Ultra is in my main 'hobby' stereo system, feeding a DSP crossover and my homebuilt amplifiers and speakers. The Ultra handles streaming audio from Qobuz, and switching for phono, line (for the audio interface used for system measurements) and optical (PC) inputs, allowing my to retire my old preamp and simplify my system wiring. I appreciate its flexibility, and while I don't currently use the onboard DACs I like knowing that they are top notch should I someday use the Ultra in a different application. I also appreciate the small form factor, and that the display can be dimmed down enough to not to be annoying in a darkened room.

Works great as a convenient Hi-Fi I/O hub; currently serves as an input switcher for my TV/PS5 and turntable. Love the EQ customizability as well

Very happy with my Wiim Ultra purchase. Contemplated buying an Eversolo but for my needs and after reading reviews and watching YouTube reels on it, I decided it made more sense and the price truely made it a no brainer for me. Simple to set up and it sounds excellent. Great features and it sounds and looks and feels great. Can definitely recommend.
