It does what it says. Keeps bread for about a week. Only complaint is the size / shape - great for a round loaf, not so great for a French loaf or baquette. Also, a loaf will dry out faster than in plastic, but won't go mouldy. If you live some place very dry, you might be all right with plastic, any humidity, this is better
