Gorgeous, deep maroon blooms that look almost black grow singly—and quickly—on tall, stiff spikes. White eyes peer out from the centre of the bell-shaped flowers. Large, rough, heart-shaped lower leaves become progressively smaller toward the top of the spire. Great against a fence or a wall, and for hiding unsightly views.

I love everything i get from Breck’s! I ordered the black hollyhocks because the ones i bought last year, only one made it. I hope to get better luck this year. They gave me a partial credit for the ones i lost. They are so good!

I got my order delivered today. I have the first 2 roots in a container of water overnight and hopefully plant tomorrow. These roots then will go through the same process and plant Thursday. Roots look to be in great shape. Haven’t opened the bag yet.
