Embark on a dreamy, nighttime jaunt with a young boy and the moon. Overcoming a fear of the dark and discovering the world at night lives at the heart of this poetic tale from Barefoot Books. I Took the Moon for a Walk also includes notes about the moon and the plants and animals that thrive in the wee hours. Written By: Carolyn Curtis Ill

I couldn't resist these illustrations!
When I saw that moon face, I had to get this for my 18 month old granddaughter. It's delightful! The underlying message is that a child always has that celestial companion.
As a bonus there is a nice section at the back about the phases of the moon.
This is a sturdy, beautiful book with a message of reassurance.

Best book I've ever seen for children about the night.
LOVE this book! I will give it again and again for new baby gifting. A very gentle and comforting message about darkness and night time without once saying, "don't be afraid of the night".
