Great mid-level diagnostic tool

Overall the machine is fast! from the time I power it up to the time I have a complete system scan completed is only a few minutes. Storing the dongle in the tool itself is convenient as well. Lifetime software updates are a godsend! The reasons I did not give it five stars is because I was recently connected to a current model year Ford Ranger (2026) and there were MANY bidirectional tests / output state control tests that were listed in the scan tool's menus, but when selected to run, were unable to and the PID status changed to "aborted - test not available." Also, during data play-back mode (viewing a recording), you can only view the data in the same mode that you recorded it - graph mode or value mode; you cannot switch between graphs and values when it's recorded data. Lastly, the Chrome browser built into the tool is unable to open AllData for some reason. It would have been nice to be able to view wiring diagrams on the tool. However, on a different 2022 model year Chevy truck, all functions seemed to work fine. It may have simply been that the Ford was brand new? Lastly, I like all the other add-on features. The tool has a TSB tab that only functions when the tool is connected to the internet, so it appears that it has up-to-date TSBs accessible through the tool. it also has the ability to run pre and post scans, which you can email as pdfs right from the tool to your own email, or the email for the shop or customer. You can also add pictures and notes to the report. In summary - this tool is a great run-and-gun scanner that I use as the first scan tool on the vehicle. If there is a more advanced feature required during my diagnosis, I move onto another scanner. The lifetime updates alone make the scanner worth it. If you're a newer technician just starting out, a vehicle owner who wants to try and avoid taking it into shops, or something similar, this is the scan tool for you.

Reason It’s Getting 2 Stars From Me Is Because It Was Shipped In A Bag/Envelope With No Bubble Wrap So Box Got Pretty Beat Up, Then When I Opened Up Package it Looks Like I Got Someone’s Returned Product Or Used! Not New Which Is What I Paid For So I’m Disappointed!!! Uploaded Photos Of What I Received.

It does what it says it will I just needed more from it . Totally my fault I should’ve read further into it , but still a very good scan tool.
