I picked up the Vital Plus Cold Plunge with the new X2 Chiller and I’m seriously impressed. For $1,400 including the chiller and barrel, it’s honestly hard to believe. I thought there had to be a catch, but after using it, I can say it works great. Having the filter, ozonator, chiller, and Wi-Fi control all in one small unit is impressive. It cools the water a bit slower than some higher-end chillers—around 3–4 degrees per hour on the first fill—but once it’s cold, it holds the temp no problem. My brother and I use it all the time after the sauna. It’s outside in my LA backyard on pavers, and even in summer heat it keeps the water cold. When I open the lid, I can smell the ozone, which gives me confidence the water’s clean. It stays clear for a long time. I looked at a lot of plunge setups, even the $5k–$6k ones, and honestly I don’t think you get much more for the price. This is the best value plunge I’ve found. Five stars.

So far I am very pleased with this barrel and chiller. Giving 4 stars because I have only been using it for a week but noticed the water doesn’t get exactly to the temp it is set at or stay there. This may be due to it being placed in my garage and it being a warmer environment but I have not been able to figure it out. It also makes the water smell odd after being filtered so I am trying to get that adjusted as well, possibly with a water treatment just need to find the right one.
