Fuel Stand

I went on a thru-hike with my partner just last week. Ordinarily, I only bring small isobutane canisters for the sake of weight savings - she doesn't. Fortunately, I had my universal stand on hand. Except now I may need another one - she liked it a bit much.

Mine weighs slightly less than the 7 gm advertised. The design is well thought out and appears that it will hold up fine over time. The Sterno iso-butane canister I had at home is a tight fit and not too difficult to snap onto the fuel stand.

When I downsized my cooking system I had to leave my old canister stand at home. Of course, I promptly proceeded to spill water I was about to boil. This little guy fits perfectly inside my halulite pot and should keep me from burning myself on trail.
