PHOTON® Holster

Retention settings and quality wasn’t great

Combined the photon holster with mag carrier for a Glock 43X MOS with light. Had to make a trip to hardware store for longer screws and some rubber grommets. Adding the mag carrier to the holster created a slight imbalance in the mag holster itself. The mag carrier ( tried single and double stack) also had some plastic ribs on the inside that wouldn’t allow a proper fit for my factory Glock 15 round magazine. Added smaller grommets and slightly larger screws to the slide portion of the gun holster for even retention. The comfort pad was slim and flimsy. The photon holster didn’t meet my expectations. I have other alien gear holsters and thought the shape shifter holster had better quality and comfort.

This is a very solid built holster with great adjustability for my pistol and tactical light. The Glock/Streamlite option fits my full size Ruger XRM with the Harbor Freight tactical pistol light like it was designed specifically for it. The belt clip and claw combine to make for a very secure grip to all my standard belts-leather and seatbelt strap weave. I am 6’+, 210 and carry appendix. I am able to keep the holster out of my hip joint when seated by keeping my belt pulled up. The cant adjustment for this position is not ideal…a little clunky. I expect to later purchase the magazine holder that pairs with the Photon holster.

Best holster in the market!

Had gotten a holster elsewhere but had to go back to Alien to get the right one. I got multiple holsters from them and will get more!
